Last night, the 2012 Grammy Awards paid tribute to the recent and unexpected death of singing legend, Whitney Houston. While honouring the others who passed away this past year in the music industry, the theatre went black and Whitney’s photo showed on the screen. Appearing like an uncannily similar Whitney, Jennifer Hudson began belting out, ‘I Will Always Love You’, a trademark Whitney song. It was an emotional moment.

Whitney Houston, who died Saturday night due to an apparent prescription drug overdose in her hotel bathtub was greatly remembered at this year’s Grammys. But it was Jennifer Hudson’s amazing voice, her haunting performance that truly honoured Whitney’s passing. Such a moving moment. Check out the video from last night’s Grammys.
